About Us
AAKF Mission Statement
The American Amateur Karate Federation (AAKF) is a nationwide, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization created by Master Hidetaka Nishiyama in 1961. The AAKF aims to promote the practice of traditional karate-dō through regional and national training seminars and amateur karate competition. Its mission is to seek the perfection of character of its members in keeping with the precepts of traditional martial arts (budō).
